Spring is here and the temps are rising. That makes it much easier for Kevin to enjoy one of his favorite pastimes, watching the Phillies. Hopefully he can help them turn it around!
Here is Kevin with his nurse Chris on the left and our cousin Michael on the right. Oh and that is dad’s finger, he didn’t want to be left out!
Since our last post, things are humming along on the golf front. More golfers, more exciting auction items, more sponsors!
We are overwhelmed by your generosity, and humbly ask that you keep helping us promote the event in any way you can.
One of the many good things about spring—it is so much easier for Kevin to be out and about in that beautiful van you gave him.
The Third Annual Golf tournament to benefit Upper Chichester’s Kevin Neary will raise funds for Kevin’s continued medical needs. Kevin was paralyzed from a gunshot wound to the neck in 2011.
The tournament will be held Monday, September 21, at Wyncote Golf Club in Oxford, PA; the event begins at 9 a.m.
Kevin Neary will be the guest of honor!
And our thanks to Kevin’s good friend Brian Startare from 97.5 “The Fanatic,” who will once again serve as our Master of Ceremonies!
It promises to be a day of good sport, fun, and friendship.
Register here for the event as a sponsor, golfer or to donate directly to help Kevin.
Ticket sales end on Friday, September 4.

Just a quick note that Kevin is home. As I write this, he is getting showered and dressed. Thanks everyone!

Good afternoon everyone-
Just a quick updated on Kevin. It sounds like Kevin is starting to look and feel a bit better. The doctors and nurses at Riddle are running a few more tests today. If all goes well Kevin should be home in a day or so. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts, prayers and messages!
In other news, please stay tuned for more information on the 3rd annual Friends of Kevin Neary Golf Outing on September 21st.!
Good morning everyone. We just wanted to update you that Kevin is still at Riddle Memorial Hospital. There has not been much change in his condition but the staff is working hard to figure out what is going on. He is still a bit confused and disoriented, which has made for some creative stories. We will let everyone know, via the website, as things change.
It is difficult for Dad to get calls while with Kevin. The best way to get an update is to check the site or to get a hold of me by text, phone or email. (https://kevinneary.com/contact-information/)
Good evening everyone! We just wanted to post a quick update on Kevin.
Kevin was admitted to Riddle Memorial Hospital’s ICU last evening. He was experiencing some of the same symptoms that sent him to the hospital right before Thanksgiving. They are running some tests and we can expect him to be there for a few days.
If you would like to visit please check out the visitors guidelines here:
If you can, please give Dad a call to make sure Kevin is up to having visitors stop in.
We will post an update when we have more information or Kevin is headed home.
Thank you to everyone for taking the time to read this, follow Kevin’s story, and for keeping all of us in your prayers.
In other news, now that Kevin is stable and his living area complete, our Dad is completing the renovations to the house he started planning well over three years ago. All of these renovations are independent of what has been done for Kevin but will have the added benefit of increasing his access to the rest of the house. Stop on by and dad will happily give you a tour!
Our thanks to all who supported the golf tournament on Monday—whether you played, volunteered. came for lunch, made a donation—-your support means the world to Kevin and to all of us.
Gorgeous weather, an important cause, and good friends made for a perfect day.
We are overwhelmed and uplifted by the support of family, friends, and community.
