Good morning everyone. We just wanted to update you that Kevin is still at Riddle Memorial Hospital. There has not been much change in his condition but the staff is working hard to figure out what is going on. He is still a bit confused and disoriented, which has made for some creative stories. We will let everyone know, via the website, as things change.
It is difficult for Dad to get calls while with Kevin. The best way to get an update is to check the site or to get a hold of me by text, phone or email. (https://kevinneary.com/contact-information/)
Thanks everyone!
Hey Kevin,
One delirious story I have is when I had mono and my tonsils were so enlarged they closed my throat over 90%. I was in the hospital for 4 days and on painkillers to relax me because my pulse-ox was ~70%. Anyway, while on painkillers I kept calling the nurse. She’d come in and I’d complain to her that the clock was broken. After the third time she asked me more details, and I explained to her that I’d been playing with the chicken, horse, and rabbit for a while now, and the clock still said the same time. She at least smiled at me, and I don’t think I called her again.
Anyway, hope you’re doing well and your stories are funnier than mine!
Good Morning. We don’t know your family, but have been following Kevin’s story since the beginning. My son is also a graduate of Salesianum; that’s really what drew me to this.
We’re sorry to read about Kevin’s hospitalization. When we read that he is suffering from disorientation and confusion, the first thing that entered my mind was a UTI.
They can wreak havoc.
From following his story, we know that he will find the strength to get through this.
God bless you all.
Prayers and love to Kevin from the Siefring family
Always good thoughts and prayers for you, Kevin. Wishing you a quick healing. You remain the student who at Sallies always brightened my day, made me laugh and told the best stories when you came to visit “Mr. Breslin” and I in the Alumni office. Miss you, bud!
Still saying prayers for you all.
Thank you for the update on Kevin. I have been thinking about him the last few days and hope to schedule a visit when he gets discharged from the hospital which will hopefully be soon!
