Here’s a brief update from Joe Neary:
While not a great result for the Phils on Sunday, Kevin, his nurse, and I attended the Phils-Dodgers game when Josh Beckett no hit the Phils. It is the third no hitter that Kevin has witnessed in person as he saw Millwood no hit the Giants in 2003. Halladay no hit the Reds in 2010, and now Sunday’s no hitter. My brother Mike and his wife Judy and Bill and Mary Burland were all at the game as well and stopped by to see Kevin at our seats in 205. (We are in 205 for most Sundays if the weather is good; feel free to stop and say hello if you are in the park as Kevin loves to see everyone). Top that off with Kevin being with me for a Flyers game when Hextall scored a goal and you can see he’s got the typical great Kevin Neary timing. On a good note Kevin, his nurse, Kathy and I went to the Phils game on Monday when the Phils rocked (couldn’t resist) the Rockies. It was dollar dog night as well so Kevin had a few dogs to go with the game and his friends Jeff and Haley were able to join us. The weather was perfect, sunny, warm with little or no humidity, and breezy. A great day for all.

Fabulous. I am so glad that Kevin enjoys the games. Of course, sorry that the Flyers and Phillies haven’t done better, Glad that Kevin could see another no hitter even if against the Phils. I enjoyed Jim Bunning no-hitting the Mets years ago, even though I was a Mets fan then.
3 no-hitters altogether? That is impressive. I saw the second half, and I kept yelling at the Phillies to get a hit. They did not listen to me. Afterwards, I gave kudos to the pitcher for a great job. I was even more impressed after reading about him the next day, not realizing he previously had elbow problems. That was an amazing thing. Good for him. Glad to hear you are seeing the Philles in person. The season is not over yet, but things are still evolving:-)
